Sometimes The Cross Gets Heavy

Some of us desire to know God more and more each day. I’ve come to learn that if one truly desires to know the Lord and understand His standards that we must all go though the heavy burden of carrying our own cross. And that cross sometimes just seems to heavy to carry. Our own loved ones, so called friends, our co workers and even family members will be the ones to inflict unthinkable pain in our lives. Well guess what “They did it to Jesus” and they’ll do it to YOU too! Be encouraged that the Lord is just working on getting you closer to Him. Matthew 16:24-25 24 Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. Scripture teaches that suffering for Jesus’ name is a given for believers, a privilege, and a path to blessing, highlighted in passages like Philippians 1:29 (“granted…to suffer for His sake”), Acts 9:16 (Jesus telling Ananias about Paul’s future suffering for His name), Matthew 10:22 (hatred for His name, endurance brings salvation), and Acts 5:41 (apostles rejoicing at suffering for the Name). It’s suffering because of Christ, not for personal wrongdoing, and brings joy in sharing His sufferings Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. I pray that this blog encourages YOU to continue this walk of faith, the reward is great. The reward will be one day to be able to embrace the Lord and say thank you Lord, and He will say ” His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
