Believe and Come

God bless you all this day we all have been blessed with by the mercy & grace of the Lord. I want to ask you a question today.

“Remember that day when you questioned the situation you were in?”

You wondered if you would ever get out of it. You hoped that things would change for the better, but that seemed impossible. Life seemed unfair, your health wasn’t getting any better, your marriage was looking like it wasn’t meant to be…

Well, guess what? I also have been there, and I’m sure everyone has.

What really matters in life is how we handle those situations that seem to drag the life out of us, where God seems so distant, with no hope in sight no matter what we try.

Well, sometimes things happen in life that are meant for us to go through. Just as when the disciples were on the boat and the sea started to rage. They were scared, afraid of the storm they found themselves in.

But just think, moments before the storm, they were with Jesus and witnessed Him feed the multitudes with very little. And just as we do today, we are affected by current circumstances but forget what the Lord has brought us out of before.

Our faith is affected when storms or situations arise in life. Peter, in this situation, called out to Jesus and asked Him to call unto him, but at the same time, he questioned if it was really Jesus. He questioned if Jesus was in the midst of the storm with him, just as we do.

Read the following and see how Peter was affected, and I am sure you can also relate to this event:

Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. 26 And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.”

And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.”

So He said, “Come.”

And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. 30 But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”

And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”

32 And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. 33 Then those who were in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, “Truly You are the Son of God.”

Jesus encourages…

You see, Peter was able to walk on the water, a substance that was not meant for man to walk on. Not by his own might or power, but by having faith and realizing the Lord was indeed in the midst of his situation!

Be encouraged today, Jesus is with you… You are not alone in your storm or situation. You too will be able to walk on and through what others may see as impossible.

God bless you.

Who is Jesus to you

God bless you all, I want to first say thank you to all who continue to pray for this ministry. May the Lord contiue to bless you and your families. Today I would like to ask you all a question ‘Who is Jesus to you?’ This question is the most imporatnat question you will ever be asked and what might be more important is your reply! We come accross people everyday, we meet people from all walks of life and we all have different experiences with the people we meet, which creates different perceptions or opinions of each individual. So I ask today ask you, the reader ‘Who is Jesus to you?” Some say he is a prophet, some say just a man, some say God, some say he never even existed. When Jesus asked, “Who do you say that I am?” Peter famously replied, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God”. Jesus commended Peter for this declaration, stating it was revealed to him by God the Father. Jesus asked a lot of questions. Query was one of His favorite teaching tools. One of the questions Jesus put to the disciples was “Who do you say that I am?” This question drew out a response that is instructive to all of us. The context of Jesus’ question “Who do you say that I am?” is important: “Once when Jesus was praying in private and his disciples were with him, he asked them, ‘Who do the crowds say I am?’ “They replied, ‘Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, that one of the prophets of long ago has come back to life.’ “‘But what about you?’ he asked. ‘Who do you say I am?’Matthew relates that Peter did more than just identify Jesus as the Christ; he also proclaimed Jesus’ divine nature: “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God” Jesus’ question “Who do you say I am?” was not a sign of ignorance; He knew all things, including what was on the disciples’ minds. The question was also not motivated by some type of self-conceit or vanity; Jesus did not preen, and He had no desire to fish for compliments. Rather, His question was aimed at provoking the disciples to consider their level of faith. The immediate results of His question make it clear why He asked them what He did. Jesus began the conversation by asking a related question: “Who do the crowds say I am?” (Luke 9:18). In response, the disciples related the various things they had heard: the opinions included several personages come back to life, pointing to the fact that the crowds viewed Jesus as someone special. But the crowds’ guesses were all wrong. So Jesus directs the question to the disciples themselves: “Who do you say that I am?” In other words, are you following the crowd? Are you sticking with the conventional wisdom about Me? Or do you have another, more insightful answer? What do you really think? I want to end this by emphasizing the importance of getting to know who Jesus really is in YOUR life. You cannot actually know who anyone is until you spend time with them. Jesus is God, He is the King of Kings, The name above all names, the resurrected one, the eternal one! To say you believe in Him just is not enough, you must live His word and obey it! More than just uttering scripture but rather living it. Matthew ch 7-21-23 In this passage, Jesus warns that simply professing belief or engaging in religious activities is not enough. True faith requires a genuine relationship with God and actively following His will, rather than just giving “lip service” to His authority. I pray that this blog has helped you understand who Jesus is and who He desires to be to you. To God be all the glory and all the honor.

I’m Not Selling Out

To God be all the glory, we have been blessed with another day by the mercy and grace of the Lord. Today I would like to share with you all a word from the Lord and His Holy scriptures. A word of obedience and a word of encouragement.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were three Hebrew youths who famously refused to bow to King Nebuchadnezzar’s 90-foot golden statue in Babylon. Their defiance, rooted in faith to worship only God, led to them being thrown into a fiery furnace heated seven times hotter than normal. They survived unharmed and were promoted.

This Blog serves as a reminder to us all about “Not Selling Out” Not compromising our salvation for anyone or anything. No matter the reward this World offers us it cannot compare to what awaits us in the presence of the Lord. Beloved reader I want to encourage you today to keep faithful in this walk, at times it gets very hard, at times we feel weak. But remember that the flesh is weak but the spirit is able.

Key Aspects of the Story (Daniel 3):

  • The Command: King Nebuchadnezzar commanded all officials to bow down and worship a massive golden image he set up on the plain of Dura.
  • The Refusal: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego (also known by their Hebrew names Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah) refused to worship the image, directly disobeying the king’s decree
  • The Defiant Response: The men told the king that their God was able to save them, but even if He did not, they would still not serve the king’s gods or bow to the statue.
  • The Miracle: They were cast into the fiery furnace, but the king witnessed four men walking in the fire unharmed, the fourth being like “the Son of God”.
  • The Outcome: The three men emerged with not even their clothes scorched, leading Nebuchadnezzar to bless their God and promote them in Babylon.

God bless each and every one of you today. Be encouraged and strong in the Lord.

What About Love

To God be all the glory we are all blessed with another day to rejoice in the presence of the Lord.  Today’s blog is entitled ‘What About Love” The reason I chose this title is simply because the word “love” is something that is often mentioned in this World but not truly practiced or seen, sadly but true. Scripture teaches us that without love we are just a bunch of noise. Pretty much like a drum set, if you look inside of a drum set there is noting inside of them but they make a bunch of loud sounds, many different sounds in fact. In this scripture Jesus himself says that the greatest commandment is that we love Him above all things and also to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. Now in today’s divided World so many of us claim Jesus but do not practice His greatest commandment. Now I want to make one thing very clear, giving gifts and helping the homeless is great and I applaud those who do it but those acts can be done without even having love in your heart. Bible teaches us that people will prophesy, cast out demons ect but the Lord will tell them “I never knew you” this is according to (Matthew 7:22-23) and also in (1 Corinthians 13) Paul speaks about how the acts of charity are nothing without love. Yes…Charity can be done without love. Sadly some acts become routine or part of something we are involved in but love isn’t the single most important motive. Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”  These are the teachings of the one we claim to follow (Jesus) but we refuse to be able to look beyond the faults of those who live among us. We preach a book of love and unity but yet have difficulties to forgive others that have offended us. Scripture goes on to show us this truth on love, 1 John 4:20 If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, [a]how can he love God whom he has not seen? To close I just want to say “Love isn’t love until you give it to someone” love is more than just a word, it’s an act of affection and gratitude. I don’t care how many church service you attend weekly or how much you fed the hungry or how long you been preaching, if love and obedient to God’s commandment isn’t your reason then you are wasting your time and today would be a great day to repent from your self motive and submit to the word of the Lord. Let us all learn how to truly love and Jesus loves us! God bless you all.

Mercy

God bless you all, and welcome to another blog.

This blog is entitled “Mercy.” I had to think really hard to come up with both a title and a topic for this month’s blog. This is more than just a blog to me. I don’t want to write about what I feel I should write about; rather, I want to write what God leads me to write, because He knows what is needed in our lives and what we all need to hear.

So today, I present to you the unconditional mercy of Jesus.

It all started in the Garden of Eden, when humanity decided to turn their backs on God. Yet, He did not give up on mankind. He, being God—full of grace and mercy—continued to reason and speak with Adam and Eve, just as He does with us today.

If you haven’t realized it yet, He approached you at your lowest point—the point where you were living a sinful life, completely according to your own desires and against His will and standards. That is real mercy, a kind of mercy that man will never perfect. Man will let you down—sometimes unintentionally and sometimes intentionally. It’s unfortunate, but it’s very true.

Scripture says in Isaiah 30:18:
“Therefore the LORD waits to be gracious to you, and therefore He exalts Himself to show mercy to you. For the LORD is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for Him.”

This world does not know mercy the way God does. He overlooks our faults while man magnifies them. The Lord throws our sins into the depths of the ocean, while some people try to fish them back out. Again, that’s unfortunate—but very true.

Even in His final moments, Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” That is a level of mercy we will never truly comprehend.

Sometimes we feel as if we’ve done too much, as if we’ve reached a limit where God will never forgive us. I want to tell you plainly: that is a lie of the devil. God’s mercy is always within your reach—it’s up to you to accept it.

The Bible speaks of God as the potter and us as the clay. Read Jeremiah 18 and see how, no matter how the clay tries to form itself, or even if it falls out of the potter’s hands, the potter picks up those broken pieces and continues to mold them into what he sees as best. He does not throw the clay away. He does not give up on it.

That’s how God sees us. He always sees what we can become. He sees what no other person can see.

Remember, the mercy of God is sufficient for you and for me. Man may give up on you. Your mother or father may give up on you. Your wife, your husband, or other loved ones may give up on you—but God will NEVER give up on you, and God will NEVER walk away from you.

God bless you all, and thank you for reading this blog.
To God be all the glory!
