I’m Not Selling Out

To God be all the glory, we have been blessed with another day by the mercy and grace of the Lord. Today I would like to share with you all a word from the Lord and His Holy scriptures. A word of obedience and a word of encouragement.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were three Hebrew youths who famously refused to bow to King Nebuchadnezzar’s 90-foot golden statue in Babylon. Their defiance, rooted in faith to worship only God, led to them being thrown into a fiery furnace heated seven times hotter than normal. They survived unharmed and were promoted.

This Blog serves as a reminder to us all about “Not Selling Out” Not compromising our salvation for anyone or anything. No matter the reward this World offers us it cannot compare to what awaits us in the presence of the Lord. Beloved reader I want to encourage you today to keep faithful in this walk, at times it gets very hard, at times we feel weak. But remember that the flesh is weak but the spirit is able.

Key Aspects of the Story (Daniel 3):

  • The Command: King Nebuchadnezzar commanded all officials to bow down and worship a massive golden image he set up on the plain of Dura.
  • The Refusal: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego (also known by their Hebrew names Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah) refused to worship the image, directly disobeying the king’s decree
  • The Defiant Response: The men told the king that their God was able to save them, but even if He did not, they would still not serve the king’s gods or bow to the statue.
  • The Miracle: They were cast into the fiery furnace, but the king witnessed four men walking in the fire unharmed, the fourth being like “the Son of God”.
  • The Outcome: The three men emerged with not even their clothes scorched, leading Nebuchadnezzar to bless their God and promote them in Babylon.

What About Love

To God be all the glory we are all blessed with another day to rejoice in the presence of the Lord.  Today’s blog is entitled ‘What About Love” The reason I chose this title is simply because the word “love” is something that is often mentioned in this World but not truly practiced or seen, sadly but true. Scripture teaches us that without love we are just a bunch of noise. Pretty much like a drum set, if you look inside of a drum set there is noting inside of them but they make a bunch of loud sounds, many different sounds in fact. In this scripture Jesus himself says that the greatest commandment is that we love Him above all things and also to love our neighbors as we love ourselves. Now in today’s divided World so many of us claim Jesus but do not practice His greatest commandment. Now I want to make one thing very clear, giving gifts and helping the homeless is great and I applaud those who do it but those acts can be done without even having love in your heart. Bible teaches us that people will prophesy, cast out demons ect but the Lord will tell them “I never knew you” this is according to (Matthew 7:22-23) and also in (1 Corinthians 13) Paul speaks about how the acts of charity are nothing without love. Yes…Charity can be done without love. Sadly some acts become routine or part of something we are involved in but love isn’t the single most important motive. Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”  These are the teachings of the one we claim to follow (Jesus) but we refuse to be able to look beyond the faults of those who live among us. We preach a book of love and unity but yet have difficulties to forgive others that have offended us. Scripture goes on to show us this truth on love, 1 John 4:20 If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, [a]how can he love God whom he has not seen? To close I just want to say “Love isn’t love until you give it to someone” love is more than just a word, it’s an act of affection and gratitude. I don’t care how many church service you attend weekly or how much you fed the hungry or how long you been preaching, if love and obedient to God’s commandment isn’t your reason then you are wasting your time and today would be a great day to repent from your self motive and submit to the word of the Lord. Let us all learn how to truly love and Jesus loves us! God bless you all.

Mercy

God bless you all, and welcome to another blog.

This blog is entitled “Mercy.” I had to think really hard to come up with both a title and a topic for this month’s blog. This is more than just a blog to me. I don’t want to write about what I feel I should write about; rather, I want to write what God leads me to write, because He knows what is needed in our lives and what we all need to hear.

So today, I present to you the unconditional mercy of Jesus.

It all started in the Garden of Eden, when humanity decided to turn their backs on God. Yet, He did not give up on mankind. He, being God—full of grace and mercy—continued to reason and speak with Adam and Eve, just as He does with us today.

If you haven’t realized it yet, He approached you at your lowest point—the point where you were living a sinful life, completely according to your own desires and against His will and standards. That is real mercy, a kind of mercy that man will never perfect. Man will let you down—sometimes unintentionally and sometimes intentionally. It’s unfortunate, but it’s very true.

Scripture says in Isaiah 30:18:
“Therefore the LORD waits to be gracious to you, and therefore He exalts Himself to show mercy to you. For the LORD is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for Him.”

This world does not know mercy the way God does. He overlooks our faults while man magnifies them. The Lord throws our sins into the depths of the ocean, while some people try to fish them back out. Again, that’s unfortunate—but very true.

Even in His final moments, Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” That is a level of mercy we will never truly comprehend.

Sometimes we feel as if we’ve done too much, as if we’ve reached a limit where God will never forgive us. I want to tell you plainly: that is a lie of the devil. God’s mercy is always within your reach—it’s up to you to accept it.

The Bible speaks of God as the potter and us as the clay. Read Jeremiah 18 and see how, no matter how the clay tries to form itself, or even if it falls out of the potter’s hands, the potter picks up those broken pieces and continues to mold them into what he sees as best. He does not throw the clay away. He does not give up on it.

That’s how God sees us. He always sees what we can become. He sees what no other person can see.

Remember, the mercy of God is sufficient for you and for me. Man may give up on you. Your mother or father may give up on you. Your wife, your husband, or other loved ones may give up on you—but God will NEVER give up on you, and God will NEVER walk away from you.

No Matter The Storm

Praise the Lord and God bless each and everyone of you this New Years day. To God be all the glory. This day I want to speak about “No Matter The Storm” Now if there’s anything we all have in common is “a storm” or better known as “hard times” A job situation, family, friends, finances, situations that leave you questioning everything and everyone, and some times life itself. I want to share with you the story of 3 youth that refused to give in to the demand of the King. Daniel 3:16-30 The “3 youth in the fire” are Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, Hebrew men in the biblical Book of Daniel who refused to bow to King Nebuchadnezzar’s giant gold statue, choosing God over the king, The fire was so hot that the flames killed the strong soldiers. They were killed when they went close to the fire to throw in Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego fell into the fire. They were tied up very tightly. Then King Nebuchadnezzar jumped to his feet. He was very surprised and he asked his advisors, “We tied only three men, and we threw only three men into the fire. Is that right?” His advisors said, “Yes, King.” The king said, “Look! I see four men walking around in the fire. They are not tied up and they are not burned. The fourth man looks like an angel.” Then Nebuchadnezzar went to the opening of the hot furnace. He shouted, “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, come out! Servants of the Most High God, come here!” So Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came out of the fire. When they came out, the satraps, prefects, governors, and royal advisors crowded around them. They could see that the fire had not burned Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Their bodies were not burned at all. Their hair was not burned, and their robes were not burned. They didn’t even smell as if they had been near fire. Then Nebuchadnezzar said, “Praise the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Their God has sent his angel and saved his servants from the fire! Listen YOU the reader, I want to encourage you that your situation may seem unfair or impossible to be repaired but just as those three youth were in the middle of the fire just as you are right now, it wasn’t them that saw Jesus in the fire with them. It was the king’s servants that saw Jesus in the midst of the men. I want you to understand the fire you are going through is only for God to be glorified no matter how hot it may get, Jesus is with YOU! And when it is all said and done He will get all the glory. And you will not be damaged or affected by the fire you was once in. I pray the word of God ministered to your life just as much as it did me. To God be all the glory! God bless you all. Sometimes The Cross Gets Heavy

Some of us desire to know God more and more each day. I’ve come to learn that if one truly desires to know the Lord and understand His standards that we must all go though the heavy burden of carrying our own cross. And that cross sometimes just seems to heavy to carry. Our own loved ones, so called friends, our co workers and even family members will be the ones to inflict unthinkable pain in our lives. Well guess what “They did it to Jesus” and they’ll do it to YOU too! Be encouraged that the Lord is just working on getting you closer to Him. Matthew 16:24-25 24 Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. Scripture teaches that suffering for Jesus’ name is a given for believers, a privilege, and a path to blessing, highlighted in passages like Philippians 1:29 (“granted…to suffer for His sake”), Acts 9:16 (Jesus telling Ananias about Paul’s future suffering for His name), Matthew 10:22 (hatred for His name, endurance brings salvation), and Acts 5:41 (apostles rejoicing at suffering for the Name). It’s suffering because of Christ, not for personal wrongdoing, and brings joy in sharing His sufferings Isaiah 41:10 Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. I pray that this blog encourages YOU to continue this walk of faith, the reward is great. The reward will be one day to be able to embrace the Lord and say thank you Lord, and He will say ” His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
