God bless you all this day we all have been blessed with by the mercy & grace of the Lord. I want to ask you a question today.

“Remember that day when you questioned the situation you were in?”

You wondered if you would ever get out of it. You hoped that things would change for the better, but that seemed impossible. Life seemed unfair, your health wasn’t getting any better, your marriage was looking like it wasn’t meant to be…

Well, guess what? I also have been there, and I’m sure everyone has.

What really matters in life is how we handle those situations that seem to drag the life out of us, where God seems so distant, with no hope in sight no matter what we try.

Well, sometimes things happen in life that are meant for us to go through. Just as when the disciples were on the boat and the sea started to rage. They were scared, afraid of the storm they found themselves in.

But just think, moments before the storm, they were with Jesus and witnessed Him feed the multitudes with very little. And just as we do today, we are affected by current circumstances but forget what the Lord has brought us out of before.

Our faith is affected when storms or situations arise in life. Peter, in this situation, called out to Jesus and asked Him to call unto him, but at the same time, he questioned if it was really Jesus. He questioned if Jesus was in the midst of the storm with him, just as we do.

Read the following and see how Peter was affected, and I am sure you can also relate to this event:

Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea. 26 And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid.”

And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.”

So He said, “Come.”

And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. 30 But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”

And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?”

32 And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. 33 Then those who were in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, “Truly You are the Son of God.”

Jesus encourages…

You see, Peter was able to walk on the water, a substance that was not meant for man to walk on. Not by his own might or power, but by having faith and realizing the Lord was indeed in the midst of his situation!

Be encouraged today, Jesus is with you… You are not alone in your storm or situation. You too will be able to walk on and through what others may see as impossible.
